The AirWire900 handheld wireless throttle (catalog number AW9T), has a simple and intuitive layout making it easy to use without having to learn and remember complicated instructions.
The throttle features our trademark standard big speed knob, direct locomotive address selection, 9 auxiliary function keys and bright, easy-to-see indicators.
It can use any DCC decoder address from 1 to 9999.
It is complete, with nothing extra to buy.
It includes 8 different frequencies that may be changed at any time.
The throttle uses advanced digital technology at 900MHz which allows for excellent range with a very small antenna.
The throttle's signal penetrates through walls, insulation and other objects commonly found in and around a railroad.
The AW9T works equally well indoors as well as outdoors.
The throttle's small size and universal layout make it simple to use for either right or left handed operators.
The throttle is small, 2 x 6 x 1.8 inches and is very light weight.
Four AAA batteries provide about 40 hours of use.
Almost any type of disposable or rechargeable battery may be used.
If rechargeables are used, an external charger is required.
The throttle comes complete with a built-in DCC service mode programmer function as well as a mainline "OPS" mode programming function.
The software chip is socketed for easy upgrades.
Batteries are not included.
