Boosters connect to the rails and provide locomotive running voltage along with commands from the Command Station.
CVP offers three different boosters.
The simplest and lowest cost Booster-3 (EDBA) is included with all starter systems.
You may wish to upgrade to higher power boosters such as the Booster-5 (B5) or Booster-10 (B10) when ordering your starter system.
You pay only the price difference between the Booster-3 and the desired booster.
Although a single booster will drive your whole layout, a derailment will shut down the entire layout.
It is much better to use additional boosters, each driving their own "center of operation", such as a town or yard.
For large layouts, we recommend sectioning the layout and using multiple boosters.
Boosters connections are made with standard 6 conductor modular cable.
Of course, you can start with one booster and add more as your layout expands.
