The EASYDCC Command Station features a built-in method to automatically throw turnouts in a predetermined sequence.
This feature is called TrueRoute®.
Any turnout controlled by our AD4 Accessory Decoders or any other stationary decoders can take advantage of TrueRoute®.
TrueRoute® control provides an easy way to simplify complex junctions, yards and staging tracks.
A route is a group of turnouts aligned in specific directions to send a train down a specific path.
A simple two-digit number is assigned to the defined route.
Activation of the route is by way of accessory decoder control either on a throttle or Command Station.
For example, complex junctions, yard ladder tracks, and large staging yards can be set up to route trains down specific tracks.
Route control allows a large number of turnouts to be thrown, in a specific direction, with only the push of a couple of keys.
TrueRoute Features
EASYDCC Command Station allows up to 63 unique routes, numbered from 1 to 63.
A route can have up to 32 unique turnouts set in a specific direction.
Although we prefer that you use our AD4 accessory decoders, any NMRA-DCC compliant accessory decoder may be used.
A turnout can be used multiple times in multiple routes.
Routes are created, changed or deleted at the Command Station.
A turnout address may be placed into multiple routes.
The AD4's local control can override route setting for any single turnout. Sending the route command, re-aligns the turnout as defined by the route.
A route can be set either NORMAL or REVERSE. Setting a route NORMAL, throws all the turnouts as specified when the route was created. The route may also be set REVERSE, which throws all turnouts opposite of what was specified in the route.
