You have detailed error reporting turned on. To turn it off:
- Select "Tools" in the Internet Explorer browser toolbar.
- Choose "Internet Options" from the dropdown menu.
- Click the "Advanced" tab.
- Click the check mark to the left of "Display a notification about every script error", which will toggle it off.
- You may have to close your browser and reopen it for the change to take effect.

I'm using the Mozilla browser. Why don't the buttons at the top of my screen ("CVP Home", "AirWire900", etc.) take me to a new page when I click on them?
|
The CVP website uses javascript to determine the top menu button on which your mouse pointer is resting, along with scripting that will create a popup box to notify you of new website information when you visit the site. Even though there may not be a popup active at the time you visit, Mozilla will not process the javascript that takes you to your top menu selection when you turn on popup blocking.
To change Mozilla settings:
|
First, allow popups from the cvpusa.com website:
- Select "Edit" in the Mozilla browser toolbar.
- Select "Preferences" from the dropdown menu.
- Expand the "Privacy & Security" category on the left by clicking the plus sign.
- Highlight "Popup windows".
- Press the "Allowed Sites" button on the right side of the "Popup Windows" box.
- In the "Allowed Websites" dialog box, type in "www.cvpusa.com" and press the "Add button" to the right.
- Press the "Ok" button at the bottom of the "Allowed Websites" dialog box.
|
 |
Second, change the javascript settings and make sure the cvpusa.com files can be read:
- Select "Edit" in the Mozilla browser toolbar.
- Select "Preferences" from the dropdown menu.
- Expand the "Advanced" category on the left by clicking the plus sign.
- Highlight "Scripts & Plug-ins".
- Check all check boxes to turn them on.
- While the "Advanced" category is expanded, highlight "System".
- Make sure all file types and protocols are checked "on".
- You may have to close your browser and reopen it for the changes to take effect.

When I click on buttons or links that go to an address where the last section is ".pdf", the website "hangs".
Why is this happening?
|
The problem relates to the ability to open an Adobe Acrobat Reader pdf file.
There are three possible reasons why this would happen:
- If you have Adobe Acrobat properly installed and linked to read pdf files, Acrobat will download the entire file before it starts to display the first page of any pdf document.
You will get a blank screen and your system will seem to "hang" during the file download.
Note that all items on the "Documentation" page, all price lists and some other menu choices on the CVP website are Adobe pdf files.
- You may not have Acrobat Reader, or do have it but in an older version than that used to create the files.
Go to the “Documentation” page and click the “Get Acrobat Reader” icon to navigate to the Adobe website for your free download of the current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- If having a current version of Acrobat Reader still does not fix the problem, then Windows Explorer (NOT Internet Explorer, Win Explorer) is not set up to automatically launch Acrobat Reader when a pdf file is encountered.
Open Windows Explorer, then select “Tools”, “Folder Options”, then “File Types”.
The list is in alphabetical order.
Highlight “PDF Adobe Acrobat Document” and press the “Change” button.
Select “Adobe Acrobat” and press “OK”, then “Close”.
